McDowell is Chief Marketing Officer and Store Development Director at Coles supermarket. He added responsibility for store development in 2013. In the same year he was named the Australian Marketing Institute’s marketer of the year. He joined Coles in 2009 after spending time in marketing roles in Europe and Asia with Sony and Coca-Cola.
