Zenith Australia has promoted Angela Swayn to general manager of its Sydney business filling the void left by Karen Halligan in September. Swayn will be responsible for leadership of Zenith Sydney's clients, staff and operations, reporting to Zenith Australia CEO Nickie Scriven.
Swayn has 18 years' experience in media agencies and has been Zenith Sydney's group business director for the past two years, playing an important role in improving the team culture and helping Zenith reposition the business towards delivering better ROI and customer satisfaction scores.
A year ago, the fresh approach was rewarded when Zenith Sydney picked up the $42 million Aldi account from Maxus after a lean period of 'nearly wins'.
Scriven says Swayn has been instrumental in driving a positive cultural change and stronger business outcomes for clients, including a recent MFA Award for the SBS ‘Deep Water’ campaign.
“I am delighted to reward Angela’s great work and dedication to Zenith and her clients with this promotion. Ange is a warm and inspiring leader. Her excellent work with clients, strong vision and team collaboration will set her up for great success in this role,” Scriven said.
Speaking about her appointment, Swayn said: “My key focus is delivering business results for our clients. We will achieve this by ensuring our team acts as a true marketing partner. I’m looking forward to leading the team in Sydney to deliver further growth and great results for our business.”
