Wavemaker has appointed Susie Si to lead the Vodafone account as group business director.
She joins from sister agency MediaCom, where she has been for eight years. Most recently she was group client lead on News Corp.
Si replaces Emily Cook who moved to Queensland to work with dentsu as head of client partnerships for Carat Brisbane.
“Vodafone is a key client and valued partner for Wavemaker, and I’m thrilled to take on this opportunity to head up the partnership and work closely with the Vodafone marketing team to deliver its customer-led strategy through effective and impactful media strategy," says Si.
"I started my career working on a telco client, so it feels like coming full-circle.”
She has worked across entertainment, FMCG, finance/banking, auto and healthcare for brands including Proctor & Gamble, Westpac and Mercedes-Benz.
She will report into Wavemaker Sydney managing director Ian Edwards.
Ian Edwards: “It is great to welcome Susie to Wavemaker to lead our fantastic Vodafone team. One of the benefits of being part of GroupM is that we can enable our people to grow and develop their careers through new opportunities within the group, which also gives us access to outstanding talent.
"Susie brings with her incredible expertise of leading large blue-chip clients and large teams, and all the advantages GroupM can bring to its clients, meaning she can hit the ground running.”
