Virgin Blue has awarded Raydar Creative creative duties for the Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue airlines in the New Zealand and Pacific Island markets.
The appointment comes after Clemenger BBDO Sydney won a regional pitch last year to become the group's lead agency. Raydar is owned by Clemenger Group.
Virgin Blue general manager of marketing Michelle Lee said: "Airlines
operate in an increasingly competitive environment and Darryl and his
team understand that. We believe they offer both the creativity and
pragmatism that's needed on an account like ours."
Raydar managing director Darryl McClay said: "We instantly felt a good connection with the client and love the brand and what it stands for. We’re looking forward to helping Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue create more success in a highly competitive market."
The win comes a year after Raydar merged with Alphabet Soup. The agency's clients include Frucor Beverages, KFC, Pizza Hut and Kellogg.
