Toyota Australia's divisional manager of national marketing Peter Webster has announced his resignation, after 22 years with the company.

Webster has not revealed what his next move will be, and a replacement has not yet been announced. During his time at Toyota, Webster worked in a variety of sales and marketing roles for both the Toyota and Lexus brands.

Toyota Australia executive director of sales and marketing Matthew Callachor said: "In his most recent role, he has helped drive Toyota’s marketing during a period when the company has cemented its position as the top-selling automotive marque.

"He leaves the brand in great shape with Toyota on track to be market leader in Australia for the 14th year, including the past eight in a row."

Toyota Australia has made a series of major changes to its marketing arrangements lately, with Droga5 recently added to the car maker's roster to work on the Yaris brand, which was previously handled by Saatchi & Saatchi.

Publicis Mojo was recently handed some retail work, normally handled by Oddfellows. Meanwhile, Oddfellows, which usually only handles retail work, won creative duties for the Rukus brand.

Toyota is currently holding a creative pitch among roster agencies Saatchi & Saatchi, Droga5 and Publicis Mojo, for its general brand campaign.
