The Tokyo Olympics afternoon, evening, and night sessions each attracted more than one million metro viewers to Seven last night, helping the network win the night.
The evening session for Day 3, which runs from 7-8.30pm, attracted 1.21 million metro viewers, making it the most watched program outside of news for the night, according to OzTam figures.
The night session, which runs from 8.30-10pm, attracted 1.146 million metro viewers, while the afternoon session, from 12-3pm, followed with 1.087 million metro viewers. The late afternoon session, from 3-6pm, attracted 768,000 metro viewers.
Also on last night at 7.30pm, Ten’s Australian Survivor pulled in 627,000 metro viewers, while Nine’s Beauty and the Geek, also on at 7.30pm, attracted 562,000 metro viewers.
Seven News was the most watched program with 1.474 million metro viewers.
For people aged 18-49, the Tokyo Olympics evening session was on top with 441,000 metro viewers, followed by the night session with 427,000 metro viewers, and Seven News with 401,000 metro viewers.
For people aged 25-54, the evening session dominated again with 473,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News with 464,000 metro viewers and the night session with 455,000 metro viewers.
Seven won the night with 46.3% of the network share, followed by Nine with 19.3% and Ten with 17.7%.
