Purpose-driven agency Think HQ has appointed Fiona Nixon head of strategy and research.

Nixon will continue to lead the agency’s strategy and research function with a focus on creating insight-driven integrated campaigns that create impact.

With close to 30 years’ industry experience, Nixon has senior leadership experience spanning the financial, consultancy, public and not for profit sectors where she has delivered business growth and established successful and innovative purpose-driven brands.

Most recently, Nixon was head of strategy and communications at customer-owned financial institution Bank Australia, where she was responsible for the corporate strategy, corporate affairs, marketing and sustainability and was instrumental in building the bank’s public profile to being recognised as a thought leader in responsible business driving customer and asset growth.

Nixon's previous experience was in consulting and in the Victorian Government public sector, where she honed campaigning and government stakeholder engagement skills building and delivering communications strategies for major social policy initiatives in multicultural, women’s and community development portfolios.

Jen Sharpe, Think HQ founder and MD, said: “We’re so excited to welcome Fiona to the Think HQ team.

"She brings a wealth of expertise and is perfectly suited to the work we’re doing now, as we build a new kind of agency that melds creativity, inclusion, and purpose."

Nixon said: “Jen and Think HQ have really pioneered the idea of a social impact agency in Australia that is prepared to do things differently.

"The agency’s recent growth is testament to the increasing demand from organisations and businesses for genuinely strategic creativity that helps them connect with people and make a meaningful positive impact. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to this vision and help it grow further.”
