AdNews last year launched the WFH Diaries during the depths of the fallout from the pandemic, a way of sharing how people were spending their days.

This time we're asking for a run down on how everyone likes to start their day working from home. Some dress to impress, others slip on the t-shirt.

And everyone has their own way to carve the day into manageable chunks.

Lou Barrett, Managing Director National Sales, News Corp Australia

Working from home has changed my life and seriously made me take stock of my work life balance.

I start most days now with a 5km walk with my dog, Buddha and if I ever take a day's break he makes me feel so guilty.

Prior to lockdown I was also enjoying Pilates 2 or 3 mornings a week but I’ve now converted that to boxing 3 times a week.

Post exercise it's back home for a fresh celery and ginger juice followed by my one and only almond latte of the day.

Often I am starting my work day early, jumping on calls with the US and UK before a daily team sales call. This was one of the operating rhythm changes I put into my team during COVID last year and it enables us all to keep connected, dissect our revenue, discuss opportunities and ensure connection for the wellbeing of our sales team.

I also record a video piece to camera once a week for staff, just so they can keep across what’s going on in the business and again, feel connected.

Because Zoom calls obviously consume my day, I’ve tried to instil regular breaks to ensure I’m keeping in touch with our clients over the phone and also touch base with staff, particularly those who live alone.

I am very focused on my mental health and the mental health of my team.
Most importantly WFH is about taking care of each other and our clients.
