AdNews last year launched the WFH Diaries during the depths of the fallout from the pandemic, a way of sharing how people were spending their days.
This time we're asking for a run down on how everyone likes to start their day working from home. Some dress to impress, others slip on the t-shirt.
And everyone has their own way to carve the day into manageable chunks.
Lisa Squillace, national sales director, Network 10 Viacom CBS:
"My alarm clock is my three year old daughter, so I can be up any time between 5.30am and 6.30am. That’s where the double-shot, black espresso comes in handy while I start the day by making my kids breakfast.
"I dress in exercise gear in the hopes I will do something like jump on the bike or go for walk to set up my day. After my morning exercise, I’ll shower and get changed while the kids are watching TV.
"Logging into Zoom for Year 2 learning starts the day as a challenge - then it’s time to settle in for my back-to-back Teams meetings."
Tips for getting through the day?
"Get through the day by getting outside and walking to clear your mind. Try and get dressed in anything other than lounge wear. Schedule breaks, like time to have lunch. And to the parents out there, schedule in times to feed and supervise the children."
Distractions?
"Kids! Making sure they haven’t killed each other, are fed, and safe."
Upside. Downside.
"The upside, at least I can cook dinner in the gaps in my schedule throughout the day. The downside is the blurring lines between work and home. And having both kids’ birthdays during lockdown, well there’s an up and down side to that."
