The Voice finale down on last year

Nine’s finale for The Voice was down on last year’s season ending, reaching just over 900,000 metro viewers overnight.

Last night’s two-part finale, the Grand Final and Winner Announced, came behind Ten’s Masterchef in ratings. The cooking show, which aired part one of its Grand Final last night, reached 1.15 million metro viewers.

The Voice’s Grand Final, which saw Chris Sebastian crowned the winner, reached 911,000 metro viewers and an additional 329,000 regional viewers for 1.24 million national viewers.

The Winner Announced segment reached 871,000 metro viewers and an additional 340,000 regional viewers for a total 1.21 million national viewers.

This is compared to last year’s season which ended on 1.03 million and 995,000 metro viewers for the Winner Announced and Grand final segments, respectively.

Seven’s 7News Presents: Murder in the Outback also outpeformed The Voice in ratings last night, reaching more than 961,000 metro viewers overnight.
