The Outer Sanctum, the all-women podcast that does footy chat differently, has joined the Acast Creator Network.
The podcast, hosted by 10 passionate Aussie Rules fans, discusses and uncovers AFLM and AFLW stories from the outer,
a place for football conversations too often neglected.
Acast’s partnership with The Outer Sanctum will amplify the reach of the podcast and diversify its revenue through premium ad products available through the Acast Marketplace — such as Sponsored Stories and branded content.
Released twice weekly, the podcast features football observations and interviews with contributors to Aussie Rules, who share their unique experiences and points of view.
Hosted by Dr. Kate Seear, Emma Race, Nicole Hayes, Shelley Ware, Lucy Race, Rana Hussain, Julia Chiera, Tess Armstrong, Alicia Sometimes, and Felicity Race, at its core The Outer Sanctum is a perfect storm of human rights, feminism, and a commitment to representing anyone who has ever felt ‘on the outer’.
This team of award-winning writers and broadcasters, cultural experts, and football professionals, combine to create the kind of content that challenges and celebrates Australia’s greatest game.
Emma Race, host of The Outer Sanctum: “Independence and innovation are incredibly important to us, as is remaining true to our values — which is why we knew Acast was the right partner for us. Acast provides not just the best platform but a team of people, to work with us and help us to achieve our goals. We’re so excited to be back and bringing our podcast to a wider
audience.”
Guy Scott-Wilson, Acast’s Content Director, Australia and New Zealand: “We’ve been fans of The Outer Sanctum for quite some time and, in my opinion, it’s one of the best sports podcasts in Australia. The all-female team of hosts know the ins and outs of AFL and their unique take on sports broadcasting provides a real value-add to the conversation.
“Our mission at Acast is to be the most creator-centric podcast company, and we feel The Outer Sanctum has chosen to work with us for that very reason. As the home of independent podcasts, we give podcasters the freedom and tools to develop and grow valuable listener relationships, while they retain complete creative control — and that ethos is allowing The Outer Sanctum to return to its independent roots.”
