SYDNEY: Suzuki is making its first foray into the mid-size car market, spending more than $2 million on the launch campaign for the Kizashi luxury sports sedan, AdNews magazine revealed today.
The model signals Suzuki’s entry into a space currently dominated by Honda Accord Euro, Subaru Liberty, Mazda 6 and Audi 4.
The campaign, created by The Sanford Partnership, kicks off from Sunday (9 May) across all networks and pay TV. It also includes, radio, online, print, magazines and DM, with media buying and strategy by Maxus.
Suzuki national marketing manager Andrew Moore said the Kizashi represents a totally new segment for Suzuki.
"Our target audience is couples aged 40 to 59 years with a male skew. They are professionally successful and status is important to them but they are quite rational – they value being unique.”
