Asha Oberoi, formerly of Storyful at News Corp, has landed at realtime media monitoring firm Streem.
The former Storyful executive director is filling the new role of insights and reporting lead.
Oberoi drove customer intelligence for Storyful until News closed APAC commercial operations in May.
Streem CEO Elgar Welch says Oberoi’s social media expertise was a key factor in her appointment.
“Clients are increasingly eager to combine realtime media monitoring with meaningful intelligence about their organisation’s positioning in both social and mainstream media,” he says.
“Asha has a proven track record of working with clients to identify insights that drive their strategies forward. We’re thrilled to have her join the team.”
Oberoi says she was attracted to Streem because of its excellent reputation and access to rich data sets.
“Streem is known for being smart, innovative and responsive to clients’ needs, which is why they’re winning customer after customer,” she says.
“This role provides the perfect opportunity to combine my skills providing media intelligence, analysis and social media insights, to help develop our offering and further expand the business.”
Oberoi’s appointment marks Streem’s continued drive into social and earned media analytics, enabling customers to better measure and action media coverage. The company has slated a raft of major platform changes launching in the spring.
