Full service digital marketing agency Smith Brothers Media (SBM) has appointed of video production specialist Steven Moore head of video.

He takes over from Campbell Vandersluys, who has moved into a new role as video strategist.

Moore, formerly the general manager at Creativa, has been in the role since June, where he oversees a talented team of producers, scriptwriters, camera operators, editors and motion designers.

Moore says he’s enjoying working with the SBM team to craft eye-catching content that helps clients put their brand in motion.

“Whether it’s raising awareness, entertaining or selling a product, video content plays a major role in how brands and businesses connect with their audiences and inspire behaviour change,” he says.

“You can’t ignore the opportunities that video content delivers. I’m loving this new opportunity to draw on my various experiences to bring a comprehensive approach to digital marketing for our clients.”

Moore’s scope of work also includes recruiting, team development, project management, agency account management, and providing direction on video marketing initiatives.

His production experience has seen him collaborate with brands such as Bunnings, AAMI and Afterpay.

His most recent success was a trophy-winning video pitch to ABC’s Gruen.

“Steven brings a unique level of passion to his work and management style, which is definitely reflected in his career results,” says James Smith, CEO of Smith Brothers Media.

“It’s no surprise that he’s won numerous awards for his work — we’re excited about the impact he’s already having on his team, SBM as a whole, and for our clients.”
