Streaming platform Stan has partnered with Walter Presents to secure exclusive international content.
As part of the deal, international dramas from Walter Presents, a video-on-demand service of UK’s Channel 4, will premier exclusive to Stan.
Eight new shows will launch on the platform this month, including Peacemaker, Devil's Throat, and Rocco Schiavone: Ice Cold Murders, with additional shows being added each month.
“Walter Presents has established itself as one of the world’s leading providers of premium international drama, and we couldn’t be more excited to launch this new exclusive partnership,” says Stan chief content officer Nick Forward.
“With Walter Presents as a partner, Stan continues to expand its international scripted slate, providing even more choice for drama fans this summer and beyond.”
Stan has been building its content line-up from international partners, and has also boosted its investment in Stan Original content. Yesterday, it announced the production of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under this year.
Last August, Stan also secured a deal with NBCUniversal, giving it exclusive access to productions from Sky Studios and NBCUniversal International Studios.
Walter Presents has also had a partnership with Foxtel since 2017 in Australia, with titles such as Night & Day, Locked Up, and The Score appearing on the broadcaster’s live and on-demand channels.
