Independent media agency Slingshot has won the strategy, planning and buying account for air conditioning company Daikin.
The account is the latest win for Slingshot who has a client base including BlueScope Steel, Inspirations Paint, Solahart, UniversalSony Home Entertainment and Sanitarium.
“We really like the way that Slingshot approaches media strategy and how they take it to ground in implementation. As a marketing team we are always looking for the competitive edge and appointing Slingshot supports that,” Daikin national marketing manager Dan Tosh says.
Slingshot CIO and partner Simon Corbett says securing the Daikin business was another highlight in the Slingshot story.
“Every time Slingshot wins a client such as Daikin – the world's industry leader – we see it as a stamp of approval that we are continuing to develop great work," Corbett says.
"We are blessed with the clients we work with and Daikin is another brand that everyone would want to work on”.
The account has previously been held by PHD and Initiative.
Slingshot will begin work on the business immediately.
