Survey 6 radio ratings results from GfK, the official provider of radio ratings for Commercial Radio Australia (CRA), have been released.

In Sydney, 2GB's share fell to 12.8 (down from 13.6 in Survey 5), with smoothfm 95.3 also cracking double digits at 10.9 (up from 9.7 in Survey 5). For the breakfast slot, 2GB's Ben Fordham fell slightly from 16.9 from 17.1, while the Kyle & Jackie O Show on ARN's KIIS rose to 12.8 from 12.5.

In Melbourne, 3AW dropped to 13.4 from 14.5, while GOLD104.3 inched up to 11.9 from 11.8 in Survey 5. 3AW Breakfast with Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft saw strong gains to 19.3 from 17.6.

Duncan Campbell, ARN chief content officer, said: “Across the country, we continue to be the most consistent network delivering strong ratings, audience engagement and quality connections through our commitment to live and local content.

"We’ve seen some impressive results, particularly in Sydney where Kyle and Jackie O continue to reign supreme in breakfast and in Melbourne with GOLD104.3 and The Christian O’Connell Show continuing their #1 results. It’s also great to see continued strength in the all-important 25-54 demographic.

“Kyle and Jackie O is a powerhouse of a show that keeps on growing.  To be the #1FM Sydney breakfast show for 30 consecutive surveys, and achieve a record breaking cume, is an incredible achievement and highlights the enduring and powerful connection Kyle, Jackie and the entire team have with their audience.

"This show is as topical and relevant today as it was 30 surveys ago, and we thank the loyal listeners for their continued support.”
