Macquarie Radio Network boss John Singleton is believed to have been issued a criminal infringement notice, following a brawl with Fairfax Media director and owner of Hungry Jack's Jack Cowin.

According to reports, the pair were lunching together on 11 May at Kingsleys Steakhouse in Woolloomooloo when onlookers saw Singleton lunge at Cowin, with restaurant staff attempting to separate the men

NSW Police Force issued a statement on its Facebook page, which did not name Singleton, but confirmed that Kings Cross Local Area Command had been investigating an incident in a “restaurant in Woolloomooloo” which occurred on Monday.

“Police will serve a 73-year-old man with a Criminal Infringement Notice for offensive behaviour,” the statement said.

“The penalty notice carries a fine of $550 if it goes uncontested by the recipient.

Police continue to investigate possible licensing breaches surrounding the incident.”
