Rob Martin Murphy, who says “its good to be home," is heading back to Australia\ to take up the newly created role of Group executive creative director at STW-owned Moon Group.
Moon has made another senior hire, appointing Emily Taylor as head of of strategy. The two hires will be responsible for the overall creative and strategic output of the group and form part of its senior mangement team.
Martin Murphy joins the group after spending years abroad in several roles both inside and outside of advertising. In 2011 he co-founded startup social ideas studio Betaburo, based in London and in 2013 moved to Santiago after receving funding from StartUp Chile. This year he co-founded Mulitply, a Singpore-based coding academy.
Before leaving Australia Martin Murphy held a role as national creative director of The Furnace and has also worked at Leo Burnett, JWT, The Ball Partnership and BAM SSB in Sydney. He held the role of executive creative director at Euro RSCG Singapore/Malaysia from 2000-2005 prior to joining The Furnace in 2006.
Taylor has experience in both digital and brand communications working at Razorfish, AKQA and VCCP in London. She has also held planning director titles at BMF and Publicis Mojo in Australia.
