Seven West Media is reportedly planning a national news publication.
The project is said to be a digital newspaper, The Nightly, and will be part of the group’s newspaper division which includes the West Australia and Sunday Times in Perth.
The AFR reports the media group has signed The Australian’s former editor-in-chief Chris Dore.
A Seven West Media spokesman declined to comment on “speculation”.
