Plate of Origin launch passes 600,000 metro viewers

Seven’s launch of its Plate of Origin series attracted more than 600,000 metro viewers last night, as Nine’s The Block took the top spot for entertainment programs. 

Last night’s episode of Plate of Origin attracted 667,000 metro viewers, according to OzTam numbers.

The international cooking show is hosted by former MasterChef hosts Matt Preston and Gary Mehigan, as well as My Kitchen Rules' Manu Feildel. It was launched to line up with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which has been postponed to next year due to the pandemic.

Also airing last night, Nine’s The Block, which aired in two parts, topped the night for entertainment programs. The Room Winner segment attracted 1.016 million metro viewers, while The Block segment attracted 943,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, Ten’s Family Feud pulled in 250,000 metro viewers.
