7-Eleven
7-Eleven has appointed CHE Proximity as lead creative agency. CHE Proximity won the business in a competitive pitch against long-term incumbent Leo Burnett Melbourne and two other agencies. Leo Burnett had worked with 7-Eleven for 15 years.
Bendigo Bank
Australian independent media agency Nunn Media has been appointed by Bendigo Bank for media planning and buying following a competitive pitch. Bendigo Bank is part of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group, Australia’s fifth-biggest retail bank with more than 1.9 million customers, and currently has annual media billings from $8 million.
Weis
Clemenger BBDO Sydney has been appointed as the creative partner for Weis following a competitive pitch for the brand’s range of natural bars, ice creams, frozen yoghurts and sorbets. The agency has been tasked with revitalising the brand that began in Queensland in 1957, return it to top of mind for Australian consumers and introduce it to New Zealand where it has recently launched.
Bank Australia
Bank Australia has appointed Common Ventures as its creative agency of record, following a competitive pitch. Common Ventures will lead the bank’s campaign strategy through all communication channels and be responsible for all creative output for the brand. Bank Australia head of marketing Nicole Hunter says Common Ventures’ strategic thinking, common goals and creativity were a stand-out in the pitch.
Peppermayo
Peppermayo Boutique has appointed The Wired Agency to lead a new social strategy to reach a new, younger and "exclusive" audience. Having successfully built its online store from the ground up through strategic digital activity, Peppermayo has specifically appointed Wired to implement a tailored social strategy using Snapchat.
B&D Group
Thinkerbell has been appointed the strategic and creative agency for B&D Group after a competitive pitch process. The appointment takes effect immediately. The teams have been working together on a new brand platform for B&D, to be launched later in the year.
Mars Petcare
Mars Petcare has appointed Tiger Pistol Australia as its digital transformation partner in Australia, following a competitive tender process. Tiger Pistol will focus on strengthening Mars Metcare’s relationship with customers and delivering an omnichannel experience. As part of the appointment, Tiger Pistol will work on the relaunch of Mars Petcare brands Optimum, Advance and Schmackos.
Marvel's Avengers
Independent brand communications agency, Magnum & Co, has been appointed by Square Enix to manage the launch of its new video game, Marvel’s Avengers. The appointment was made following a competitive pitch and will see the agency manage the Australian and New Zealand launch from one of the world’s largest entertainment franchises. To launch the game, Magnum has reassembled some of Australia’s biggest sporting heroes - the Australian Gold Medal winning Men’s Freestyle Relay team - twenty years on from their heroic win, when they defeated the US.
Sunny Digital
Sunshine Coast based digital marketing agency Sunny Digital has continued to add to its list of clients with Oaks Hotels, Resorts and Suites recently joining the stable of clients under the belt of former QUT graduate Matthew Travers. Since launching one and a half years ago, the Maroochydore based agency now employs five full time staff and services local, national and international clients including; Greyhound Racing Victoria, Gold’s Gym, SunCentral Maroochydore, The Fleet Office, Rhythm, PEXA, Rumco of Fiji (a Coca Cola Brand) and SkyCity Entertainment Group.
