PHD has appointed Toby Hack, the digital sales director of Nine Network's GO! and GEM, as managing director of PHD Australia.
Hack, who headed up development of GO! and GEM, previously spent more than a decade at OMD in the UK where he launched branded entertainment division OMD Fuse.
"This is an important role at an important time for us," said PHD chief executive Barry O'Brien. "Toby brings fantastic local and international experience and is a passionate and creative operator. Throughout his career, Toby has delivered innovative work and his appointment will further ceMent PHD's Pioneering spirit and offering in Australia's media landscape."
The appointment follows recent client wins for PHD including the PepsiCo media buying account, Cisco, and Holland Insurance Group.
Hacks starts his new role in December, reporting to O'Brien.
