Ex-Wieden + Kennedy and Barton F Graf 9000 creative Brandon Mugar has joined Whybin\TBWA Sydney to take up the role of creative director.
Mugar was most recently executive creative director at BFG9000 where he created the climate name change initiative, which aimed to change the current naming systems of storms to names of US policy-makers who deny climate change.
He was also previously creative director at Wieden + Kennedy where he worked on Brand Jordan, BBDO New York and Chiat\Day San Francisco.
In his new role with Whybin\TBWA Mugar will report to executive creative directors Gary McCreadie and Wesley Hawes.
“We’ve both been extremely jealous of the work he’s produced over the years, particularly the Climate Name Change Initiative and the Air Jordan stunts. It goes without saying that we can’t wait for him to get started with us,” McCreadie and Hawes said.
McCreadie and Hawes were appointed by Whybin\TBWA in September from BBH London. They replace Matty Burton and Dave Bowman who are leaving Whybin\TBWA next month to join the Special Group.
