Australian independent media agency Nunn Media has been appointed by Bendigo Bank for media planning and buying following a competitive pitch.

Bendigo Bank is part of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group, Australia’s fifth-biggest retail bank with more than 1.9 million customers, and currently has annual media billings from $8 million.

“Our partnership with Nunn Media is in step with our strategy to increase our capability and effectively tell our story, at the same time adding further scale to our team as we strive towards our vision to be Australia’s bank of choice,” Bendigo Bank general manager of marketing Sarah Bateson says.

The appointment comes following the bank's recent rebrand created by AJF GrowthOps.

The rebrand was launched alongside a campaign, also from the creative agency. The Better Big Bank campaign asked Australians to consider Bendigo Bank as the alternative banking partner that offers care, capability and scale.

Nunn Media founder and CEO Matthew Nunn says being Australia’s largest independent media agency, the team are looking forward to working with a trusted Australian brand.

"We share similar values and culture and look forward to helping Bendigo Bank reach its ambition of becoming Australia’s bank of choice by providing our strategic guidance and digital expertise,” Nunn says.

The Melbourne headquartered agency, which has annual billings of $275 million, works with clients including JB HiFi, GMHBA, Scenic Tours,13CABS, American Tourister, Godfreys, Amcal, and Smile Direct Club.
