Nunn Media Sydney in hiring spree after new business wins

Independent media agency Nunn Media has appointed Richard McCosker group account director at its Sydney office, as part of five new hires as a result of business wins.

He joins from fellow independent media and marketing agency Frontier Australia where he was senior account director.

McCosker: “The decision to join was a simple one - Nunn Media are extremely well respected by their clients, media partners and among peers. To be part of this next growth phase, helping their clients to succeed, was a brilliant opportunity for me.”

He is a former communications planning director at multinational agency PHD for four years, leading planning and strategy across a diverse portfolio including SC Johnson and Ferrero.

He brings with him more than 20 years’ experience which includes time spent on both the client and publisher side, including marketing manager of Rebel Sport, client strategy manager at Fairfax Media, and strategy director at Southern Cross Austereo.

Nunn Media Sydney has also appointed Melanie Otuhouma channel planning director. She joins from oOh!media where she was strategic client solutions director.

Digital manager James Rigby has joined from Venatus Media, Ashleigh Lord has been appointed as account executive from the Seven Network as has Lien Tran who was most recently at Initiative.

The appointments follow Nunn Media’s win of Silversea Cruises and global children’s entertainment company Spin Master for its portfolio of brands including Bakugan, PAW Patrol, Hatchimals, Kinetic Sand and Air Hogs.

With annual billings of $330 million, Nunn Media also works with JB HiFi, GMHBA, Amart, 13CABS, American Tourister, Godfreys, Amcal, and Smile Direct Club. In October 2021 Nunn Media acquired fastest growing performance agency, Alley Group further boosting its capabilities across search, social, programmatic, e-commerce and digital creative.
