Free TV CEO Brett Savill has left the lobby group four months into the role.
The commercial TV organisation hired Savill in October to replace longstanding chief executive Julie Flynn.
Free TV chairman Harold Mitchell said the group was disappointed Savill “was not the right person for Free TV and that the appointment had not worked out”.
“On behalf of all of the broadcasters I thank Brett for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future,” Mitchell said.
Previously, Savill held executive roles at BAI Communications, formerly Broadcast Australia.
Free TV is searching for a Savill's replacement.
