MediaCom's former chief investment and growth officer Nicole Prior has joined IPG Mediabrand's UM Australia as chief media partnerships officer.
In her new role, she is a member of UM’s national leadership team and is helping lead the development of future media trading models that focus on clients’ business outcomes.
Prior accepted her position in late 2019 for a start in early 2020.
She brings a 20-year career in media with her to the agency.
Prior worked at MediaCom for more than five years before departing in April last year.
Towards the end of her time there, she also consulted for GroupM's addressable TV business Finecast.
Over the past year she has been consulting for companies and industry bodies including the Media Federation of Australia (MFA), Boomtown and ThinkTV.
Before her time at MediaCom, she has also worked in sales and trading roles at Network Ten, Seven Network, Ikon Communications and Starcom MediaVest Group.
UM Australia CEO Fiona Johnston says Prior will help the agency continue to evolve, bringing her extensive experience of the media landscape with her.
"Nicole has run many paths and seen as many challenges as us all, and so I am delighted to have her experience and presence in this new phase of her career and UM’s growth," Johnston says.
"We face many challenges post bushfires, floods and COVID – and Nicole’s resilience will help us rise to this. She will partner Andrew Murray our national head of trading to bring the best and most exciting work we can for our clients and be an important mentor for our brilliant teams.”
