News Bulletin: Ten appointments, CarAdvice poaches from CarSales

Ross Dagan appointed network director of news content

Network Ten has appointed Ross Dagan to the new role of network director of news content, effective early May 2018. He will report to chief content officer Beverley McGarvey.  Dagan joins from Aljazeera English where he is executive producer for news based in Doha, Qatar.

Andrew McKinlay appointed network sport editor

Ten has also appointed Andrew McKinlay as network sport editor, effective early April. McKinlay is rejoining Ten after seven years at Fox. He was previously the editorial manager at Fox Sports, where he has been since 2011.

CarAdvice appoints national sales boss

CarAdvice.com has named Stuart Parker as its new national sales director. He has joined from rival CarSales where he was head of agency sales for three years. Before that he spent nine years in sales at NewsCorp, including the role of Group Sales Manager, representing all major brands across digital and print. Stuart has been tasked with driving sales growth for CarAdvice by working directly with the media agencies as well as leveraging opportunities across the combined audiences of nine.com.au and CarAdvice. Nine Entertainment took a majority share in CarAdvice in 2016.
