It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

Match & Wood's Ryan Hancock promoted to national planning director

Independent agency Match & Wood has promoted Ryan Hancock to the newly-created role of national planning director. He will oversee and guide the integrated planning and execution. He will continue working across Match & Wood clients based in Melbourne and Perth; including Snooze, Catch.com.au, Chobani, Curtin University, HIF Australia and Synergy. 

Starcom strengthens team with Drew Groves and Robert Millett

Starcom Australia has appointed Drew Groves client service director and Robert Millett to the newly created role of Melbourne head of digital. Groves will be tasked with leading the newly won TPG Telecom account in Australia, while Millett will be focused on developing and deploying digital products and solutions for Starcom clients. 

Audience Group snaps up UM's Simon Watson as account director

Independent media and advertising services agency Audience Group has appointed two account directors and a digital trading specialist. Simon Watson moves from UM to Audience Group as account director. With over two decades of experience, Watson has a history in both client- and agency-side at Ladbrokes & Neds, Lion, Starcom, The Media Store and more.

Bryce Crosswell named SCA's head of digital sales for Melbourne

Bryce Crosswell has been appointed SCA's head of digital sales for Melbourne, beginning on February 19 2024. Crosswell joins SCA from Acast, where he was group business director for Victoria. Crosswell has more than 11 years’ experience in the advertising and media industry in sales and management roles. 

Joe Anson named NSW sales director for SEN

Joe Anson has become the sales director for New South Wales for Sports Entertainment Network (SEN). Anson joins SEN having served as the head of sales - direct and independent agencies at SCA and as the group sales manager for ARN. 

7NEWS' Katherine Davison becomes editor of WHO

Katherine Davison will become editor of celebrity news and entertainment magazine WHO on Monday November 27. She joins from the Seven Network’s 7NEWS.com.au, where she has been managing editor of entertainment, lifestyle and commercial editorial since September 2021.
