Independent media agency Hatched has made significant hires to bolster its team in performance, planning and analytics.

Andrew Pascoe joins as strategy director to lead a newly structured planning team.

He has held senior planning and strategy roles within global agency networks both in Australia and the UK, as well as stints in creative, media sales and recently consultancy and lecturing.

Pascoe says: "Independent agencies play an important role in the agency landscape, including helping to power some of the best marketers and brands by being honest and adaptable. And Hatched is amongst the best of the bunch; I'm really happy to have joined the team at this point in their journey."

Aaron Hackett joins as performance director as the agency continues to build out its performance and analytics services.

"Hatched are a people-first business and not focused on just delivering a number to London or New York," he says.

"They proved their amazing culture and values to me by hiring during a pandemic, and it has been a fantastic, albeit socially distanced, welcome!"

Hackett has worked within media agencies for ten years, joining from Wavemaker where he held a similar role, and specialises in SEM, SEO, CRO & digital strategy.

He is also an avid writer and documented his journey through the COVID-19 pandemic in a series of articles in AdNews.

Julie Rugani joins Hatched in the newly created role of digital analyst & operations manager, joining the team from her previous role at REA Group and will play a key role in the agency's continued focus on media effectiveness and measurement, while also assisting leverage client data and in-house tech stack for deeper insights and activation opportunities.

The hires follow the appointment of Adrian Roeling as managing partner and Rebecca Den Braber as head of d gital in late 2019 to further bolster the agencies capabilities in digital, data, technology and analytics.

In addition to his planning role, Pascoe will also sit on the experienced management team alongside Roeling, Den Braber & Byrne, as well as Virginia Scully, Sharni Ames and Stephen Fisher.
