The Guardian's commercial director of sales and operations for Australia & New Zealand, Mason Rook, has resigned.
He was in the position since August 2020, having joined the publisher in May 2019.
Prior to The Guardian, he worked as a commercial director at ARN and The Daily Mail, following a 10-year stint at Nine that saw him ascend to a sales director position.
He has also served as a board member of IAB Australia since September 2022.
Rooke said that after much reflection over the past six months on everything the Guardian advertising team has achieved, as well as contemplating his own future and career aspirations, he made the "difficult decision" to step away.
"It has been an incredibly tough choice, but I believe it is the right time for me to take on my next challenge," he said.
"Leading this globally recognised advertising team has been a true privilege, and I am immensely proud of our collective accomplishments."
