Married at First Sight finale down on last year

Nine’s Married at First Sight (MAFS) finale was down in ratings from last year, reaching a national average audience of 1.95 million.

Last night’s episode attracted a metro audience of 1.48 million viewers, with an additional 474,000 regional viewers, giving Nine the highest metro program for the night.

Last year, the finale for the dating show attracted a record 1.96 million metro viewers, and 643,000 regional viewers.

This year the series, in its seventh season, has consistently passed the one million mark in viewers for Nine. Its launch episode generated 1.15 million metro viewers, making it the highest launch episode for MAFS.

Other network’s tentpole programs have already wrapped up, with Seven’s My Kitchen Rules finale attracting 553,000 metro viewers.

Last week Ten’s season finale for Australian Survivor: All Stars reached a peak metro audience of 944,000 viewers, while Dancing with the Stars finale peaked at 635,000 metro viewers.
