Initiative Australia has appointed Nick Wokes as GM of its Sydney operation. Wokes is a client group director at Initiative Sydney, having joined the agency in January this year.
He has more than 14 years’ media experience with Mediacom and Match in Sydney and with Zenith in New York, where he led media strategy for major corporates including IKEA, Maserati, Toshiba and JP Morgan Chase.
In his new position, Wokes joins Initiative Australia’s senior leadership team and will take responsibility for Initiative Sydney’s performance, including the quality of work for the agency’s clients.
He is responsible for several of the agency’s largest clients, including Cancer Council NSW, the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Initiative Australia said he was also instrumental in the agency’s win earlier this year of the national Pizza Hut account.
“Nick is a high-calibre executive, as well as a great team and client leader,” Initiative Australia chief executive Melissa Fein says.
'“His new leadership in Sydney will bring greater energy and focus to driving the agency’s performance for our people and our clients.”
