The Independent Media Agencies of Australia’s (IMAA) next two free webinar series for its members will feature Sky News commentator Paul Murray and Facebook's ANZ head of independent agencies, Harry Lowes, and ANZ HR lead, Ashley Jenkins.
Murray, who presents Paul Murray Live on Sky News Australia, will discuss the implications of COVID-19 on the Australian economy. Presented by Foxtel Media, Murray's webinar will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, April 8, at 12pm AEST, exclusively for IMAA members.
Another webinar focuses on how Facebook is managing its people and remote teams through the pandemic. Harry Lowes and Ashley Jenkins will share Facebook’s experiences on this HR journey in the webinar to be held on Wednesday, April 15, at 12pm AEST.
The IMAA launched the series of free professional advice webinars to provide expert guidance and strategies to help its members navigate the financial, legal, economic and HR complexities as a result of COVID-19.
The first webinar was held on April 1, featuring Marc Walsh, principal client advisor at Altus Financial.
“The first webinar with Marc was a great success as many of our members and their key staff joined the discussion on the government’s stimulus package and the $130 billion JobKeeper payment which will provide a lifeline for many business owners in the independent media agency sector,” IMAA Chairman, Dominic Pearman, said.
“Providing help and advice and also community to the small to medium sized, Australian owned and independent businesses in our sector is an important feature of what the IMAA is all about. It’s a very important time to come together. We are all facing similar challenges during this period and we’re here to provide support and guidance.”
Mediasmiths Managing Director, Angie Smith, said: “I found it insightful and informative. I do appreciate that the IMAA was able to offer this value to its members especially during a time that businesses in general are experiencing an overload of information pertaining to this crisis.
“The impact of the government’s stimulus, however, is one that is of extreme importance to us and it was wonderful to have Altus Financial run through these measures for us, especially those that support small businesses like ours and how we access them.”
The IMAA has several events and training programs under development. Click here for further information.
