Here’s what the new Twitter site looks like

Twitter will start rolling out its redesigned website today in an attempt to make it more personalised for users.

The rebuilt site will now include the ‘What’s Happening’ feature found in its apps. Twitter says this move means users can expect to see more live video and local content.

It will also provide easier access to Lists, Bookmarks and a user’s Profile which will have their own section in the side navigation. Direct messages will also be expanded so all conversations are shown in the same view and switching between accounts will become easier.

“For years, Twitter.com has seen many changes, but we felt it was time to do what we’ve never done before: rebuild Twitter.com from the ground up to better serve our purpose and the people who use our service every day,” Twitter says in a statement.

“We’ve redesigned the site from scratch to allow for a clean slate to bring new features and functionality for a faster, more personalized experience.”

The most anticipated change from Twitter users appears to be the two new ‘dark mode’ themes which will become available, along with a range of other different themes and colour options.
