FillThisPage.com, created by Dentsu Creative creative director Wassim Kanaan, is a constantly updated list of creative women in the advertising industry.
What started as a LinkedIn post has grown to become a professionally designed website, created only one week ago, with more than 800 names and more being added day and night across the country.
The website was created to be ongoing proof of the brilliant women that the industry looks up to every day.
It is a constant reminder for trade press, publishers and media across the country, Kanaan said.
"Among other voices and initiatives, this small act aims to make sure the news of last week is not buried as we all aim for a 50/50 balance of women thriving in our industry," Kanaan told AdNews.
"It's a platform everyone can be part of and contribute to. It's everyone’s.
"It also becomes an ongoing platform for men to celebrate the women they're already looking up to and women who deserve to be celebrated… far more often.
"Exclusion and underrepresentation harms every single person, it harms our industry, the places we work, our clients, the brands we represent, and our future generation."
Since its launch, the page has had an overwhelming response and feedback for the first iteration of the website has been actioned such as adding the women's titles, LinkedIn profile pictures and hyperlinks to their page.
Any support or people that want to join the team in any form to make this a growing and stronger initiative is welcomed and appreciated. Anyone can reach out at FillThisPage@gmail.com
"It’s disappointing this page needed to be created in the first place," Kanaan said.
"But we can’t do nothing about the ongoing problem of women being overlooked and denied an equal representation within our industry and we can use this moment to drive change, along with many other initiatives and voices."
A print edition is also coming soon.
