As part of a global shake-up, MediaCom Australia will be looking after Hasbro’s local media account.

The move is part of the toy company’s decision to consolidate its global media business with WPP’s GroupM. Hasbro previously worked with OMD on the account, estimated to be worth more than $5 million.

“We’ve made the decision to consolidate media buying for Hasbro under a single agency in order to both drive efficiencies and to provide the best tools and resources for our current collective needs across our global business,” a spokesperson for Hasbro told AdNews.

“After a thorough review of the agency landscape and our current partnerships, moving forward, all of our global markets will be resourced exclusively through GroupM.”

Hasbro owns brands such as My Little Pony, Nerf and Play-Doh.
