Foxtel has appointed Paul Heath, the former head of The Reader's Digest Association Asia Pacific operations, as its new chief marketing officer, AdNews can reveal.
Heath, who was formerly managing director of Reader's Digest Australia, was promoted to Asia Pacific president in July 2007.
He replaces David Morgan, who parted company with the Pay-TV network after five months in the role in July, as revealed by AdNews. Heath will be responsible for marketing the entire Foxtel product.
Director of policy and corporate affairs at Foxtel, Adam Suckling, said: '"He is a most welcome addition and a strong marriage of skill sets with objectives for the next phase of Foxtel’s growth and development and continuing product innovation."
Earlier this month, Foxtel tied up with Microsoft video games console Xbox in a deal that will enable Australian Xbox 360 owners to watch Foxtel channels via their console without the need for a set-top box.
Prices start from $20 per month for channels including Fox8, MTV, Nickelodeon, National Geographic, Sky News and CNN.
