First radio ratings: Nine radio starts the year on top

Nine’s 2GB has started the year on top of the radio ratings survey in Sydney, while 3AW dominated in Melbourne.

In the first radio ratings for the year, released this morning, 2GB had 13.8% share movement in the Sydney market, down 0.7 percentage points since the last survey. In Melbourne, 3AW had 15.9% share movement, also down 0.7 percentage points.

For Sydney breakfast, 2GB led with 19% share movement, up 0.5 percentage points. In drive, KIIS1065 was on top with 9.1% share movement, up 0.2 percentage points.

For Melbourne breakfast, 3AW had 22.5% share movement, down 0.3 percentage points, while in drive the station led again with 13.4% share movement, up 0.4 percentage points since the last survey.
