Creative agency Emotive has appointed Amanda Alegre as art director.
Alegre joins from The Monkeys where she spent more than three years creating campaigns for a wide range of clients including Telstra, Berlei, NRMA Insurance, MLA and UBank.
She brings experience working across strategy, creative and social to the team.
"Feeling Simon (Joyce, CEO and founder) and Hoggy's (Michael Hogg) energy and excitement towards building on the agency's success over the last few years and their creative ambitions moving forward, has been - for lack of a better term - incredibly contagious," Alegre says.
"I couldn't be more energised to work on Emotive's long list of big-idea brands, and be part of a kick-ass team in one of the most inspiring offices in Sydney."
Alegre is the latest alumni from The Monkeys to join Emotive.
Last year the agency also hired Monika Vidovic as business director and Michael Hogg as managing partner and head of strategy.
"Amanda is a gun. She has the ability to come up with ideas that surprise and art direction that makes you look twice," Hogg says.
"Amanda also has an amazing attitude and a passion for fried chicken that's frankly inspiring. I'm thrilled that she's part of Emotive and excited to be working together again."
Alegre's appointment comes on the back of continued growth for the Sydney agency with an expanding client base including Optus, Audible, ModiBodi, Pernod Ricard, Unilever, HelloFresh, Google, ATC, YoPRO and Nutriboost.
