Industry figures are leading the way in getting vaccinated against COVID-19, many of them announcing the occasion of double vax via social media. AdNews asked them about their motivation and experiences.

I must admit I was hesitant a few months back and started to take the perspective of ‘I’ll just wait and see if there are any side effects’.
I think it’s a natural response and many people were taking that view. In hindsight it was probably normal, I’m very glad I jumped in quite early (first jab in early June) as my second one is scheduled for the end of August.
While of course I want to be safe, the greatest motivator for me was travel and socialising. What I would give for a long lunch down at the wharf, a couple of weeks in Bali or a few beers at The Lansdowne catching Amyl and the Sniffers or just about any other band!
It’s great to see Australians have really stepped up recently and it looks like we’ll hit that magic 70% and hopefully higher in the coming weeks. Nice one.
