Clemenger BBDO Sydney has promoted Emily Perrett to managing director of the Sydney office, replacing the role left vacant when Andrew Holt left earlier this year. At the time of Holt's departure, the agency said that the responsibilities would be absorbed by the rest of the senior leadership.
She will sit on the exec board alongside CEO Andy Pontin, ECD Paul Nagy, Executive planning director Al Crawford and CFO John Rizoski.
Perrett, who has been with Clems for six years is currently head of account management, and leads the Tourism Australia work and more recently led the pitch for Tabcorp, which the agency won earlier this month.
She also leads the agency's diversity work as it looks to increase the number of women in senior positions and push the diversity agenda. She is also an AdSchool tutor.
“Emily is simply an outstanding advertising person. She’s super smart, passionate about the work, is loved by her clients, and is great fun to be around” says Andy Pontin, CEO Clemenger BBDO Sydney.
“Emily represents the new wave of advertising executives. She’s a digital native, gets the importance of big ideas in all channels and formats, and knows what it takes to succeed in this business” adds Robert Morgan, executive chairman of the Clemenger Group. “Emily is another great example of our ‘promote from within’ ethos and joins the rapidly growing list of senior female executives at Clemenger.”
