As OpenAI's ChatGPT hype continutes, are professionals working in the Metaverse scared for their jobs? Or will they turn into AI experts?
On stage at Chief Meta Chicks' first in-person panel - a global community aimed to support women in Web3, started by ex-Zenith CEO Nickie Scriven - women working in Web3 discussed how the two technologies will actually work together to advantage humans.

Alyse Sue, KPMG's head of metaverse, said: "I think we need to combine both of these technologies because both kind of drive each other, or it's actually AI, which is enabling the development of Metaverse technologies much faster, quicker, easier.
"An example is Alethia AI - they've got character GPT. So through some text prompt, it creates a non-playing character or some digital avatar for users.
"I've seen many other instances where you can also use text prompts to create a virtual space, including 3D models, so I do believe that both of these technologies are intertwined.
"AI is not a new thing. AI agents were being trained in virtual worlds even before this hype, I remember eight years ago I was hearing and reading papers about this."
Nickie Scriven, founder and chief executive officer of Chief Meta Chicks, said: "The AI is learning from the already created Metaverse code, then building and creating instead of us having to code and develop.
"AI is a brilliant thing."
