Kellogg is launching a new sub-brand under its Special K cereal range as part of its efforts to broaden its offer in line with Australian lifestyles.
Special K Nourish contains superfoods such as quinoa, pepita (pumpkin) seeds and cranberries and follows the launch of Special K Flakes in February.
The cereal maker is investing in new product development to boost sales and modernise its product range.
Karen Martini, celebrity chef and judge on TV show My Kitchen Rules, will star in ads for the range and has worked with Kellogg to create six recipes inspired by the ingredients in Special K Nourish.
Kate Harris, senior brand manager for Special K, said: “Special K has changed. It’s taking a new, healthier direction in 2014 and the launch of Special K Nourish is the next significant step. After revamping the Special K flake recipe, we wanted to create some even more nutritious options for Aussie women who we know are looking for quick, great tasting breakfast options which help them feel good about their choices and maintain a healthy lifestyle.”
