Broadsheet Media has appointed Michila MacLeod as national sales and partnership director, and made a string of internal promotion in its sales and partnership teams.
MacLeod will lead the national sales team while Christina Voss is on maternity lead. Prior to joining Broadsheet Media, MacLeod held senior leadership positions at Bauer Media, Authentic Entertainment and BBC Worldwide.
In her new role she will be responsible for developing new and existing brand partnerships and delivering market-leading solutions for Broadsheet clients.
“As a passionate consumer of the Broadsheet brand for the past decade, I'm thrilled to be joining such an impressive, market-leading team,” MacLeod says.
“I look forward to working with our commercial partners to develop meaningful partnerships that create a genuine connection to our engaged audience.”
Broadsheet is also promoting team members to newly created roles after emerging from the pandemic in what it describes as the “strongest” it’s ever been with record traffic and revenue.
Claire Booth has been promoted to the new role of group sales and partnerships manager to oversee the Sydney market.
Wassilla Abboud has been promoted to sales and partnerships manager to allow the publication to establish a foundation for new hires and continued growth in the NSW market.
Emily Barlow has been promoted to the newly created role of group campaign manager, overseeing Broadsheet’s branded content studio’s client services, while Hamish Swain has been appointed to the new position of media partnership manager.
“We are thrilled to welcome Michila to Broadsheet to lead our sales team,” says Broadsheet general manager Sian Whitaker.
“Michila has extensive industry experience and is an excellent sales leader, so I am eager to see her build on the great partnerships we have with the agencies and our clients.
“I am so proud of the work our sales and studio team are delivering, and it’s excellent to be able to hire Hamish and offer internal promotions to Claire, Wassila and Emily. They’re such talented individuals and this is just the beginning of our commercial growth.
“We have big ambitions at Broadsheet and I am very confident we have the right team to deliver them.”
