The new season of Big Brother kicked off last night, helping Seven secure a network share win for the night.
The reality show attracted an average audience of 662,000 metro viewers, according to OzTam figures. The audience peaked at 664,000 metro viewers for the Arrival segment and dropped to 650,000 metro viewers for the Eviction segment.
The launch episode of Big Brother was beaten by Nine’s Lego Masters which attracted 739,000 metro viewers, making it the most watched entertainment program for the night.
Meanwhile, Masterchef Australia pulled in 545,000 metro viewers.
Seven News at 6.30 was the most watched program for the night with 1.113 million metro viewers.
For people aged 18-49, Big Brother took the biggest audience with 325,000 metro viewers, followed by the Eviction segment and Lego Masters which both pulled in 315,000 metro viewers. The Big Brother Arrival segment pulled in 309,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine News with 266,000 metro viewers.
For people aged 25-54, Lego Masters dominated with 369,000 metro viewers, followed by Big Brother with 346,000 metro viewers. Big Brother Eviction pulled 334,000 metro viewers, followed by Arrivals with 327,00 metro viewers. Nine News attracted 326,000 metro viewers.
Seven won the night with 28.6% of the network share, followed by Nine with 26.9% and Ten with 19.3%.
