Independent agency Apparent has been appointed to automobile manufacturer Volkswagen Group Australia’s digital and CX business following a competitive pitch.

The appointment includes Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda and CUPRA.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Apparent," said Joshua Wood, head of digital and CRM, Volkswagen Group Australia.

"Their exceptional data analysis, customer experience, and creative innovation capabilities align perfectly with our vision.  With a strong commitment to partnership we have great confidence in achieving meaningful outcomes.”

Volkswagen in September extended its global creative agency contract with DDB for three years. Omnicom media agency PHD was re-appointed to the brand's global media account, after a lengthy pitch, in June.

Apparent managing director Suzy Smiley said it’s an honour to be selected as Volkswagen Group Australia’s Digital and CX partner.

"The appointment is a significant new partnership for Apparent. Volkswagen Group has an inspiring vision for the future and we’re excited about the opportunity to achieve outstanding results together," said Smiley.

Apparent is a fully integrated full-service agency with a core strength in digital marketing.

Its other clients include Google, Cricket Australia, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and IBM.
