Full service independent agency Apparent has strengthened its creative team with the promotions of Michelle Turchini as its first executive creative director and Louise Acret to creative director.
Turchini joined Apparent four years ago and was promoted to creative director in 2018 from the role as creative group head of design and UX.
“Apparent has grown and changed year on year, and I'm delighted to work with such an incredibly talented team," Turchini says.
"The depth and breadth of creativity and skill is world class, and I can't wait to see what our 30+ creative team members create next.”
With local and international experience, her past roles span from large agencies working at JWT and Havas in Hong Kong to San Francisco start-ups.
The promotion to the newly created position recognises the instrumental role she has played in driving the creative output for Apparent clients.
“Michelle's different approach to creative compliments the way we think at Apparent," Apparent CEO Phil Smith says.
"We are always looking for innovative ways to solve problems, so her agile thinking and collaborative approach is highly regarded. She knows how to deliver from full scale campaigns to small effective tactics, ensuring we drive outstanding results for our clients."
In a second creative promotion, Louise Acret has been appointed creative director after two years with Apparent.
A creative content and strategy specialist, Acret has worked at specialist agencies across Sydney including Present Company, Adhesive and 303 MullenLowe.
“When I think of a modern agency creative department I find it in Apparent," Acret says.
"Diverse and relevant work on a global scale that champions innovation, in an agency environment that is super supportive of its people and how we want to work today. I’m thrilled to be able to continue to build on the wonderful work we’re doing for our clients.”
Turchini says Acret is a "truly unique" multidisciplinary creative with broad experience across all aspects of an agency.
"She is known for her high-impact, beautiful ideas that are meticulously executed," Turchini dsyd.
"She is highly respected and her leadership is only matched by her creative flair.”
Apparent has a full-time team of over 120.
In 2020 it was appointed by Cricket Australia to manage its creative and media and works with clients both in Australia and globally, including US based tech clients like Cisco, VMware and LinkedIn, along with Campari Group, Zip Co, the Australian Government, Nikon, Chartered Accountants, Visa, and more.
