Customer engagement agency Apparent has made 15 new hires, including a creative lead and two business directors.

Following significant local and international client growth, the Sydney headquartered independent has seen its full-time employees rise to over 100.

More than half of Apparent’s work now comes from a range of tier one and start-up companies in the United States, with clients including Cisco and VMWare now working with the agency.

Among the new local hires is James Blow who joins as one of Apparent’s creative leads and business directors Candice Lombard and Sophie Bogdan.

Blow has worked at a number of creative agencies including WhiteGrey, Ogilvy, JWT, TBWA.

He joins the agency from Noisy Beast.

Lombard joined Apparent following her time at R/GA where she was group account director on Telstra.

She held similar roles at Cummins&Partners, M&C Saatchi, BWM and Moon Communications.

Bogdan arrives from specialist not-for-profit creative agency Pareto and has worked at AnalogFolk and BWM where she was a group account director for seven years.

Other new hires by Apparent include six further appointments in account management roles, in addition to media planner, media buyer, executive producer and senior planner.

It has also launched an in-house content studio and increased the size of its office space in Redfern.

“We had a strong year of growth in 2019 as we continue to win new business in Australia and internationally, plus expanding our remit with existing clients," Apparent CEO Phil Smith says.

"This has allowed us to make a significant number of new hires across all levels of the business over the past six months and I welcome them all to Apparent. We are moving into new areas of operation and will be making further announcements in due course.”
